Sodium Naphthalene Sulphonate
Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate (SNS), which can be considered as one of the most common superplasticizers due to its high-range water reducing capacity, is a sulfonated product of a naphthalene and formaldehyde condensate. The purpose of using such an additive in cement-based materials is to increase their workability and mechanical properties.
SNS has good dispersing capabilities and provides low water consumption along with good rheological properties of the mix. This chemical is widely applied in ready-mixed concrete, precast units, and high-performance structures.
