DMP-30 Epoxy Accelerator

DMP-30 (2,4,6-Tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol, CAS No. 90-72-2) is a tertiary amine accelerator used to speed up the curing of epoxy resin systems, particularly in low-temperature conditions where slow reaction rates and water evaporation can extend drying times unpredictably. As a co-accelerator, DMP-30 activates the epoxy ring and promotes nucleophilic attack by the amine curing agent, dramatically reducing gel time and enabling faster turnaround in priming, waterproofing, flooring, and intermediate or finishing coat applications.

Beyond epoxy systems, DMP-30 also functions as a catalyst in polyurethane foam and isocyanurate foam production, making it a versatile addition for formulators working across both epoxy and polyurethane chemistries. It is widely recognized in the industry as a functional alternative to legacy “K54” nomenclature still referenced in some older formulations.
