RESIL C910 is a high amine content, medium to low viscosity diamino functionalized polydimethylsiloxane, specially developed for formulation to emulsions for textile softening.

APPLICATIONS

RESIL C910 is designed as a base fluid for formulating amino silicone emulsions, specifically used as textile softeners and lubricants. It can be used as padding or exhaustion with 0.3% to 1% silicone. It can provide the following property:

  • Excellent soft and smooth hand feel.
  • Increased fabric elasticity and crease recovery.
  • Improved fabric tensile and tear strength.

Typical end uses include cellulosic and man-made fibers on woven, knitted, and non-woven fabric and as a lubricant in raising and sueding.

RESIL C910 2 0 %
Acetic acid 0.22%
Alcohol tridencyl C13(EO)6 10%
Sodium acetate 0.2%
1,2-propylene glycol . 1%
Deionized water to 100
  • Load water, acetic acid, surfactants, and sodium acetate together, and stir well.
  • Add RESIL C910 slowly while stirring, and stir well.
  • Add 1, 2-propanediol while stirring.
  • Filtration.

Remark: when used, first adjust the silicone content of the emulsion to or below 5%, then adjust the dilution pH=4-6.
